Here, Tradition Is Homegrown

It’s no secret that Louisiana is known for good food and good times. Down here, many of our memories start at the dinner table. Friends and families gather to talk about their day or plans for the evening while enjoying a good meal. A meal that starts with rice and ends with comfort of being surrounded by loved ones.

We believe a meal like that is the cure to being homesick when you move away. It’s the staple of a recipe that generations will pass down and create new stories around. Rice is the main ingredient to any meal that is made with love.

And the only rice that’s grown with love is Cajun Country Rice.

Locally Grown. Universally Loved.

For decades, Cajun Country Rice has been the rice of choice for professional and homegrown chefs alike who want to make a memorable meal. We carry long and medium grain rice in addition to our brown, Jasmine and popcorn varieties. Whether you’re cooking Cajun or crafting your own concoction, Cajun Country has the magic ingredient you need — delicious, Louisiana-grown rice.

Our Commitment to Quality

In the fall of 1942, Edward and Evelyn Falcon began purchasing rough rice from area farmers. They cleaned, treated and resold it for seed just in time for Spring planting.

Falcon Rice Mill opened in the 1950’s and began selling rice under the names Ed’s, Randy’s, and Falcon rice. Later, other brands were developed to include our popular Cajun Country brand of long, medium, brown, jasmine and popcorn rice.

While the world has changed quite a bit since 1942, our quality and commitment to our customers have never wavered. Our brand has become synonymous with Cajun and Creole dishes alike. If you’re stirring up a batch of gumbo, jambalaya, etouffée or another crowd-favorite dish, consider one of our Cajun Country Rice products as your secret ingredient.

Anything But Run-of-the-Mill

Located in Crowley, Louisiana, the Falcon Rice Mill has remained one of the oldest family-run rice mills in the country. In addition to Cajun Country Rice, our mill produces other premium rice brands such as Toro, Falcon, Home Country, Laredo and Jackpot.
